VELOCITY

overview

For their new North American Headquarters, Velocity EHS elected to energize an existing sublease with a strong brand presence. Adaptive reuse of the existing layout enabled successful completion of the project in a five month relocation schedule. GREC focused on creating a new reception and entry sequence, increasing collaborative break out spaces, and activating circulation paths to embrace the company’s culture.

A branded sliding steel and glass partition presents Velocity’s identity at the entry to the space, and facilitates separation from the executive offices when needed. The reception area features a large table of locally reclaimed wood to encourage staff gathering. Twelve art pieces anchor the company to its new headquarters with images of iconic Chicago landmarks.  Large-scale graphics and bold accent colors revitalize the corridors and collaborative spaces, integrating the new brand image and illustrating a global vision.
