The hotel houses 297 guestrooms and suites and features more than 10,000 square feet of exhibition, meeting and event space showcasing rotating curated exhibitions, interactive site-specific art installations and a roster of cultural programming based on collaborations with local and national arts organizations.
Originally constructed in 1929 as the Croyden Hotel, and previously home to the Lenox Hotel and The James Hotel, GREC led the effort in a complete refresh and reconstruction of the property. The restoration included renovation of existing rooms and guest room corridors, including new finishes, new lighting, and new plumbing fixtures and a renovation of the hotel public spaces as gallery floors. A new feature stair extends the lobby/gallery experience and serves the second-floor gallery space.
