American Academy of Dermatology

overview

With an expanding team, and an outdated office space, The American Academy of Dermatology moved its operations to Rosemont from Schaumburg to centralize its location in the Chicago area, and create easier access for its members.

The new location provided challenges with the tenant being dispersed onto 3 non-contiguous floors. GREC worked with client to understand their needs and how the program could be most effectively met. The new space provides more conference rooms, huddle rooms and open huddle areas. A multi-purpose room was connected to the break-room to allow for member and staff gatherings.

Wood floors in reception area and café create a warm inviting space for users. Wood slat ceilings in corridors were implemented to aid wayfinding. Its neutral palette is accentuated with hues of blue in communal spaces.
